Competition Bureau discontinues investigation of Low Rise Forming Association

Association Fully exonerated by the Commissioner of Competition The Competition Bureau has discontinued its investigation into the Residential Low Rise Forming Contractors Association of Metropolitan Toronto and Vicinity.
in a letter from the Commissioner of Competition dated January 9th, 2014 the Association was informed that the Commissioner ” discontinued the inquiry concerning alleged anti-competitive activity of companies engaged in the sale and supply of residential low rise concrete in Toronto and vicinity.”
The letter was received after a very lengthy investigation by the Competition Bureau into allegations of wrong doing by the Association and some of its members. During the investigation, the Low Rise Forming Association was completely open and transparent with the Competition Bureau and was confident in the eventual outcome.
“At the time, we stated unequivocally that the allegations were false and that we were confident the Association would be fully exonerated once the Facts were clear,” said Gabe Brockie, President of the Low Rise Forming Contractors Association of Metropolitan Toronto and Vicinity.

We are pleased that this investigation has concluded, that the Low Rise Forming Association, its Directors and its members have been Fully exonerated, and that this matter is now behind us.”
